ABOUT OUR FIRM
Altruistic Design is client-centered, socially responsible architecture firm that combines a passion for design with an integrated collaborative process. Being socially responsible means that we strive to have a true impact with each and every project, the determination to create with humility, design responsibly, and to leave behind a better physical, ecological, and experiential environment than originally present. An integrated design and construction process means that we work hands-on with all participants to hear their needs and design with each voice present. Our mission is to provide well designed solutions that not only influence our clients’ lives, but also better the surrounding community.
POSITION
Altruistic Design is looking for a passionate student interested in commercial and custom residential design within a dynamic collaborative office.
REQUIREMENTS
Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, or a related design field with a minimum completion of two years in course study.
Ability to communicate design ideas effectively through sketching, modeling, rendering, etc.
Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite Software.
Experience with Lumion, Enscape, and/or Twinmotion.
Willingness to work in a collaborative manner with firm members and community partners.
Demonstrated eye for design and presentation.
TAKE AWAYS
Introduction to a diverse range of projects at various stages from concept design to construction.
Actively participate in collaborative studio design sessions.
Lead and complete a summer design research project.
Experience working closely with design professionals applicable to NCARB certification requirements.
$18/hour from May through August of 2024.
